2015 Institute Presentations and Materials

A two-day, statewide institute designed to mobilize P-20 educational professionals to collaborate in the effective delivery of early and ongoing advising for postsecondary preparation, access and success.

Working with the White House in conjunction with the First Lady’s Reach Higher initiative, GEAR UP Kentucky is hosting the first-ever  GEAR UP Kentucky School Counseling and Advising Institute on October 27-28, 2015 at the Northern Kentucky University METS Center in Erlanger, Kentucky.

GEAR UP Kentucky is committed to assisting schools to find new avenues to extend counselling during the school day and will instigate new thinking about how to redefine the role and responsibilities of school counselors to increase capacity for advising.  This two-day institute for counselors, administrators and teacher leaders will increase their knowledge of evidence-based school counseling techniques.
